The head of Sierra Leone’s National Sports Authority (NSA) Dr. Emmanual Saffa Abdulai has visited the Bo Stadium to assess its condition and promised urgent repairs and improvements.
On 20 September 2025, the NSA delegation included Director of Projects and Research John Ngegba, National Sports Coordinator Lambert Sesay, Regional Director Vangahun, and Stadium Manager Almanso Conteh.
During the inspection, the team noted several problems. These included broken floodlights, a non-working generator, missing facilities for other sports, a lack of advertising spaces, and the absence of a canteen.
The visit coincided with a CAF match between Bhantal FC and Hafia of Guinea, which highlighted the stadium’s current state.
The NSA boss said infrastructure upgrades were central to his tenure, linking the plans to President Julius Maada Bio’s “Big Five Game Changers” agenda.
He added that the authority would work on smarter and more modern facilities to improve the experience for players and fans across the country.
