In a daring operation fueled by community cooperation, the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division executed a dusk-to-dawn raid resulting in the arrest of Abdul Katta, a 23-year-old alleged drug kingpin, at 139 Fourah Bay Road in the east end of Freetown.
Katta was apprehended with a substantial haul of 223 wraps of Kush drug.
Moreover, the crackdown saw the detention of five additional suspects: 56-year-old Mohamed Fofanah residing at 23 Cline Street, Gibril Kassim Conteh of Culvert, Alusine Kamara from Cline Town, Abu Bakarr Conteh of 36 Mamba Ridge, and Alimatu Samura of Cline Street, Freetown, all allegedly in possession of wrapped Kush drugs.
“We are grateful to the community members who are providing useful information to us in the fight against drugs, particularly Kush. We are relentless in our resolve to end the Kush drug,” remarked veteran LUC Kpulun of the Harbour Police Division, lauded both nationally and globally for his unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking.
