Samuella Yambasu is a renewable energy advocate, entrepreneur, and youth empowerment leader from Sierra Leone. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with honors from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

Her career began in the mining sector, where she gained extensive experience in quality control and laboratory analysis as an Analytical Chemist and Supervisor at CTC Mining Sierra Leone Limited and as a laboratory intern at Vimetco, Sierra mineral holdings Ltd. This foundation fueled her passion for problem-solving and innovative thinking.
She has gained various certifications in both leadership and renewable energy. In 2023 she represented Sierra Leone in a female leadership boot camp organized by Leap leadership institute in Nigeria.
In 2022, Samuella founded Sierra PureGlo Cleaning Company officially registered in 2024. The company not only provides professional cleaning services but also empowers young men recovering from substance abuse by offering them employment and rehabilitation opportunities.
A believer in combining faith and technology, she launched the Mek Wi Tok Bibul Tok program in 2024, an online platform aimed at deepening biblical understanding among Sierra Leoneans.
Samuella is also deeply committed to renewable energy and sustainability. She completed training with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), acquiring expertise in solar panel installations, energy efficiency, and project implementation. She has worked on electrifying healthcare facilities and supporting rural energy access projects.
Her hobbies include reading, volunteering, and engaging in community-building activities. Through her work and unwavering commitment to positive change, Samuella Yambasu is a dynamic leader poised to leave an indelible mark on Sierra Leone’s energy sector and beyond.
