Sierra Leonean rapper Nata, based in the US, has secured a prestigious nomination in the Best Female Rap Act category at this year’s 2023 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

Known affectionately as Rap’s Sweetheart, Nata has emerged as a prominent voice within the African diaspora music landscape.

Born to Sierra Leonean parents in the bustling city of New York, Nata’s affinity for music has been deeply rooted since her formative years.

Following her college graduation in 2018, she introduced herself to the music world with a freestyle single. In February 2019, her debut EP titled “Finally” was unveiled, garnering praise from influential figures such as HOT 97 and the renowned Missy Elliott.
