President Julius Maada Bio has held talks with the President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), Abdullah Kh AlMusaibeeh, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
In a statement shared after the meeting, President Bio thanked BADEA for its continued support to Sierra Leone’s Medium-Term National Development Plan, particularly in key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture and education.
He said discussions focused on reviewing ongoing projects and identifying ways to speed up implementation to ensure timely delivery and greater impact.
According to the president, both sides also explored opportunities for expanding cooperation through new development initiatives aimed at supporting economic growth and improving livelihoods in Sierra Leone.
“We agreed to accelerate project progress and explore new collaboration opportunities,” President Bio said.
BADEA has been a long-standing development partner to Sierra Leone, supporting projects across several sectors through financing and technical assistance.
The meeting in Davos forms part of President Bio’s broader engagements with international partners aimed at strengthening development partnerships, mobilising investment and advancing Sierra Leone’s national development priorities.
