Port Authority Football Club has paid warm tribute to its captain, Mohamed Bangura, widely known as “Deco,” as he graduates from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone.
The club described his achievement as a proud moment not only for Bangura and his family, but for the entire Ports Authority FC community.
In a congratulatory message shared on their official platforms, the club said the academic milestone attained by Deco reflects the same discipline and commitment that he always shows on the field. Supporters who have admired his leadership at midfield were delighted to see him excel in the classroom as well.
Club officials noted that balancing professional football with academic work is no easy task, especially in a league as demanding as Sierra Leone’s. Yet Bangura has kept up with training, competitions, and team responsibilities while pursuing higher education-a journey many fans say makes him a role model for young athletes across the country.
Teammates and club staff all joined in the celebration, sharing that Deco’s achievement reflects the broader message that footballers can build successful careers while investing in their personal growth.
