Police and traditional authorities in Tambaka Simibugie Chiefdom have renewed calls for stronger cooperation to improve peace and security in the area.
The engagement, which brought together officers of the Sierra Leone Police, local chiefs and other stakeholders, focused on strengthening community policing and building trust between security forces and residents.
During the discussions, police representatives stressed the importance of collaboration with local authorities in preventing crime and maintaining stability within communities. Stakeholders also highlighted the role of community participation in supporting law enforcement efforts.
Traditional leaders welcomed the initiative and pledged to continue working closely with the police to address challenges affecting their communities. They noted that unity between chiefs, residents and security personnel is key to promoting lasting peace and development.
