Odamea Amoako had always dreamt of becoming a lawyer, but due to circumstances, she pursued a degree in pharmacy. After completing the National Service (NSS), she realized that pharmacy wasn’t her true calling and felt the need to make a change. She struggled to find passion in her work and knew that she needed to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.
Through introspection and guidance from the Central Leadership Program, Odamea made the courageous decision to pursue a law degree. Despite knowing that the road ahead would be challenging, she was determined to see it through. She recognized that everything happens for a reason and that her experience studying pharmacy before law school provided her with valuable skills that she now applies to her legal education.

Odamea has learned the power of resilience and perseverance through her journey from a trained pharmacist to a law student. She continues to press on, taking pride in the progress she has made so far. She finds it remarkable how skills and experiences from one field can be transferred and applied to another, resulting in unexpected growth and opportunities.
Currently, Odamea has represented her school in Moot Competitions and other events, which brings her a sense of fulfillment as she pursues her dreams. She offers advice to those contemplating a career change, saying that if you have a dream, go for it! It’s never too late to start over.
