The Executive Director of Sierra Leone’s National Sports Authority and founder of Luawa Football Club, Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has embarked on a strategic tour in Denmark aimed at building international partnerships for the development of Sierra Leonean football.
Dr. Abdulai arrived in Aarhus last night and has since kicked off his visit with a meeting at AGF, one of Denmark’s top football academies, which ranks fifth nationally for its youth development programs. AGF is also known as the training ground of Sierra Leonean international Mustapha Bundu, who regards the club as his second home.
In a statement shared from Denmark, Dr. Abdulai expressed admiration for the professionalism and structure of the AGF academy. “It’s evident that these people take football seriously,” he said. “Their system is impressive, and we can learn a lot from them as we work to improve football back home.”
He emphasized that the mission is part of a larger commitment to create real opportunities for young people in Sierra Leone. “They truly deserve better,” he added.
This move marks a significant step in Luawa FC’s mission to elevate the standard of football in Sierra Leone and create global pathways for local talent. More updates are expected as Dr. Abdulai continues his visit to other clubs and academies in Denmark.
