The National Sports Authority (NSA) team, led by its Executive Director Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, arrived to oversee the Triathlon National Trials. The event serves as the qualifiers for the prestigious Triathlon World Champion Cup, slated to take place on December 7, 2024.
The triathlon, known for its demanding combination of swimming, cycling, and long-distance running, drew participants from across Sierra Leone. Athletes showcased their endurance and versatility in navigating the challenging transitions between the three sports.
NSA Boss, Abdulai took part in the competition, demonstrating his athletic prowess by completing the rigorous course in under an hour. His participation and performance left many inspired, highlighting his dedication not only to promoting sports but also to actively engaging in them.
“This exciting and complex sport pushes athletes to their limits, and the transitions make it even more thrilling. It’s an honor to be here, both as a leader and a participant,” Abdulai said during the event.
