Gift Orban, the Nigerian forward who gained attention for his remarkable hat trick in European club competitions, is making the most of his time with K.A.A Gent in Belgium. Despite being overlooked by Super Eagles’ head coach Jose Peseiro for a national team call-up, Orban remains focused on his club career as he prepares for the upcoming season.

During the pre-season training sessions, the Nigerian prodigy, Gift Orban, exudes an infectious sense of joy and playfulness, further adding to the positive atmosphere within the K.A.A Gent team.

Last season, the 20-year-old rising star created waves when he scored three goals in just 205 seconds during his club’s UEFA Conference League match. His extraordinary performance caught the eye of football fans worldwide. However, it did not translate into a call-up from the national team coach.

Undeterred by the snub, Orban has returned to training with K.A.A Gent and seems to be in high spirits. Recent training pictures shared on the club’s Instagram account show him smiling and enjoying the company of his teammates and coaching staff. One particular photo captures him displaying his skills on the pitch while engaging with one of the coaches.

Orban’s breakthrough season saw him make 22 appearances for his club, scoring an impressive 20 goals and providing two assists. His sensational hat trick in the UEFA Conference League round of 16 played a crucial role in propelling his team to the quarterfinals.

As Gent prepares for the new season, their pre-season campaign will commence with a match against Belgian amateur side Merelbeke on June 30th, followed by a league fixture against Kortrijk a month later.

Gift Orban’s determination to excel at the club level, despite the national team snub, showcases his commitment and drive. Fans eagerly anticipate his performances in the upcoming season, as he continues to make a name for himself in Belgian football.
