Musa Noah Kamara, popularly known as Musa Tomb one of Sierra Leone’s most prolific soccer attackers, has recently been the subject of admiration from a female Sierra Leonean blogger.
The blogger, whose name Queen Biba, commented on a picture of Kamara posted by the Youngest Medish Facebook page, expressing her admiration for the soccer star. In her comment, she expressed a willingness to donate herself to him in marriage.
The post quickly went viral, with many fans responding to the comment from the female blogger. Kamara himself has not yet responded to the comment, nor the media attention it has received.
The admiration of athletes and celebrities is not a new phenomenon in Sierra Leone, but the public expression of admiration, especially in the form of a marriage offer, is certainly unique.
Kamara has earned a reputation as one of the most prolific attackers in Sierra Leone, due to his impressive goal-scoring record. He currently plays for Bo Rangers and Sierra Leone National Team and previously represented the Leone Stars in the African Cup of Nations where he scored a steller against Ivory Coast.
Given Kamara’s popularity, it is no surprise that his fans would express admiration for him in this way. The admiration of Kamara, and other athletes and celebrities, plays an important role in unifying Sierra Leoneans across ethnic and regional boundaries.
It remains to be seen whether Kamara will respond to the female blogger’s offer. Whatever the outcome, it is clear that Musa Noah Kamara is a source of pride for many Sierra Leoneans.
