The post quickly went viral, with many fans responding to the comment from the female blogger. Kamara himself has not yet responded to the comment, nor the media attention it has received.

The admiration of athletes and celebrities is not a new phenomenon in Sierra Leone, but the public expression of admiration, especially in the form of a marriage offer, is certainly unique.

Kamara has earned a reputation as one of the most prolific attackers in Sierra Leone, due to his impressive goal-scoring record. He currently plays for Bo Rangers and Sierra Leone National Team and previously represented the Leone Stars in the African Cup of Nations where he scored a steller against Ivory Coast.
