Sierra Leonean beauty, Sherifatu Sherif, has been selected to represent her country in the highly anticipated African Most Beautiful-USA pageant, set to take place in the United States on July 29th, 2023.
The young model and athlete, who hails from Sierra Leone but currently resides in Amarillo, Texas, expressed her excitement and called for support from her fellow Sierra Leoneans.
Sherifatu Sherif, born on January 1st, 2001, is the third child of her parents, with her father being Liberian and her mother being Sierra Leonean. Although she was born in Liberia, Sherif was raised in Sierra Leone from a young age. At the age of 13, she made the move to Amarillo, Texas, and has since immersed herself in both academics and sports.
Currently attending West Texas A&M University, Sherifatu is pursuing a degree in business administration while dedicating herself to her passion for track and field as a full-time athlete.
In addition to her athletic pursuits, Sherif is actively involved in her community and serves as the president of the African students’ association at her university.
With a deep love for pageantry, Sherifatu Sherif is thrilled to have the opportunity to represent the country she has known and cherished throughout her life. She expressed her gratitude and honor in a heartfelt message to her fellow Sierra Leoneans, saying,
“Good Day fellow Sierra Leoneans. I present myself humbly as Sherifatu Sherif, and I am counting on all your support as I embark on this exciting adventure to represent Sierra Leone in the African Most Beautiful-USA pageant.”
