IWD 2022 Impacful Women! Meet Ms Michelle Jones: Co- owner & Managing Partner of the family business, Red Lion Bakery
IWD#2022 Impacful Women!
Meet Ms Michelle Jones, who made it among the 12 impactful women on International Women’s Day -2022. The impactful women initiative (IWI) spotlights women referred to as strong women, who are recognized to have passion to uplift others.
The IWI only considers women outside government positions who are either pioneering a just cause or are sharing the little they have to impact others.
Ms Michelle Jones is a Co- owner & Managing Partner of the family business, Red Lion Bakery, which was founded in 1944.
Like her Grandmother and mother who ran the business before her, she is recognized for her philanthropy towards our most vulnerable citizens.
In 2021, Ms Michelle Jones became a big supporter of Social Workers Sierra Leone, donating bread on a weekly basis to the homeless service run by SWSL.
During Ramdan, last year, she donated bread every day for the fasting homeless Muslims. Also, in the recent fire tanker disaster at Wellington, she made provision for bread supply to admitted patients and their families through SWSL.
Because of her passion to help others, SWSL recognizes her as
one of the 12 impactful women.
In her own words, IMPACT is “all about making a contribution (no matter how small) to causes or initiatives that improve people’s lives in our communities. It is never small in the eyes of those who need it most. At Red Lion Bakery, we love to say “we knead the bread you need.”
Get inspired by Madam Jones!
To be recognized as an impactful woman, a woman has to live for others and make time for others. And such a woman should not hold government position in society.
We celebrate you, Madam Michelle Jones
