The YouthConnekt Africa Summit is the largest business and policy convener on youth development in Africa, engaging youth with leaders, policymakers, development champions, and various actors on emerging development issues . The 6th edition of the YouthConnekt Africa Summit, hosted by the Government of Kenya in partnership with the YouthConnekt Africa Hub and UNDP, is expected to convene over 20,000 young people, government officials, corporate leaders, and development champions . The summit aims to harness the power of youth innovation and foster connections that will propel Africa towards a prosperous future .
The YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2023 was officially launched in Nairobi with the theme “Youth Innovating: A Borderless African Renaissance” . The conference is a continental initiative aimed at empowering young people by enhancing their knowledge, experiences, and skills while investing in their ideas, innovations, and initiatives . The conference was launched by the President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency William Watu, who emphasized that youth are an embodiment of African resilience and are the driving force of the economy . The conference is looking at various thematic areas, including Sustainable Green Livelihood, Climate Change, and Resilience; The Renaissance of Africa Pride; Leveraging Innovation and the Digital Era; Sustainable Peace and Security, and Reconciliation .
