Kings Empire Sierra Leone Limited has unveiled plans for the inaugural HOUSE OF STARS reality TV show, offering some of the largest prizes ever seen in such a program. The 2023 edition of the show will be launched in July, with the event scheduled to take place in October.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, held at the Ministry of Tourism in Freetown, CEO Valentine King explained that many Sierra Leonean celebrities struggle to afford a decent lifestyle from their entertainment careers. The HOUSE OF STARS show aims to address this issue by offering the winner a furnished three-bedroom house, a car, and NLe 50,000 in cash. The house is currently under construction and will be unveiled during the launch in July.
Over 20 participants from various entertainment fields will compete on the show, including musicians, movie stars, DJs, comedians, models, fashion designers, social media influencers, bloggers, dancers, and athletes. Applicants must have a social media following of at least 20,000 and demonstrate creativity, talent, and entertainment value.
Application forms will be available to the public at a cost of NLe 1,000 by the end of July. Kings Empire has invested around $500,000 into the first edition of the show and has been promoting the entertainment sector of Sierra Leone for the past five years.
Madam Lydia, project manager of the HOUSE OF STARS reality TV show, emphasized that the program would also promote the brands of all participants in the house.
