Kadiatu Koroma, founder of the Women Foundation Sierra Leone, has become the first Black woman from Sierra Leone to engage in a professional development experience with SHE-CAN, a global organization that empowers young women from post-conflict countries through education and leadership opportunities.
In a LinkedIn post, she said, “I am proud to be the first Black woman from Sierra Leone engaged in my professional development experience with SHE-CAN, a global organization that empowers young women from post-conflict countries through education and leadership opportunities.”
Kadiatu added that she is convinced the platform will enhance her leadership skills and expand her global network, furthering her mission as the founder of her organization, which is dedicated to supporting women and girls in Sierra Leone. “I am deeply grateful for the invaluable support received from SHE-CAN. Thanks to the Mandela Washington Fellowship, U.S. Department of State, and IREX,” she added.
