The High Commission of India, Freetown has invited members of the Indian community, yoga lovers, and residents of Kenema to take part in a special yoga session ahead of the International Day of Yoga 2026.
The event, described as the 2nd Curtain Raiser Yoga Session, will take place on Sunday, 7 June 2026, at the Albertson Hotel in Kenema.
According to the High Commission, the yoga session will run from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This will be followed by a Consular Camp and Open House from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The Commission said the event aims to promote wellness, harmony, and healthy living through yoga. Participants are encouraged to attend with family and friends.
During the Open House session, several consular services will be available to the public. These include passport renewal, Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), document attestation, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) registration, and community engagement.
The International Day of Yoga is marked every year to raise awareness about the many benefits of practicing yoga. The upcoming session in Kenema forms part of activities leading to the 2026 celebration.
