Lolo Simeon, the winner of the House of Stars reality TV show, has officially taken legal action against King’s Empire (SL) Ltd, the producers of the programme, its Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Valentine Mak King, following months of unresolved disputes after her victory.
In a public notice posted on her Facebook page, Lolo Simeon confirmed that a Writ of Summons has been issued by the High Court of Sierra Leone, Commercial and Admiralty Division, marking the formal start of a legal process that stems from what she describes as unfair treatment and unresolved issues connected to the House of Stars show.
According to her statement, despite being notified by the firm’s clerk that court documents were ready for collection, Mr. Valentine Mak King has repeatedly avoided receiving the summons, slowing down the legal process.
Background: From Winner to Whistleblower
Lolo Simeon emerged as the overall winner of House of Stars, a show produced by King’s Empire that promised fame, rewards, and structured post-show support. However, shortly after the show ended, disagreements began to surface between Lolo and the organizers.
In a series of public statements and interviews over the past months, Lolo raised concerns about unfulfilled promises, contractual issues, and the overall handling of her win. These concerns became the subject of sustained public debate, with many questioning how winners of reality shows in Sierra Leone are treated once the cameras stop rolling.
Despite repeated calls for dialogue and resolution, the issues remained unresolved, eventually pushing Lolo Simeon to seek redress through the courts.
“This Is Bigger Than Me”
In her public notice, Lolo made it clear that her legal action goes beyond personal grievance. She described the case as a stand for fairness, accountability, and dignity, not just for herself, but for others who may find themselves in similar situations.
She emphasized that no company or individual should operate above the law, especially within the creative and entertainment industry, which relies heavily on trust, transparency, and public support.
Lolo also thanked members of the public who have supported her emotionally and spiritually throughout the dispute, noting that her journey has never been hers alone.
Alleged Avoidance of Court Process
One of the most serious claims in her statement is that Mr. Valentine Mak King has avoided receiving the court summons, despite being informed that legal documents had been issued. If proven, such conduct could attract further legal consequences, as service of court documents is a fundamental requirement in civil proceedings.
Implications for the Entertainment Industry
The House of Stars dispute has become more than a private disagreement. It has sparked a wider conversation about how reality TV contestants are treated, how contracts are enforced, and whether production companies are being held to proper standards in Sierra Leone.

What Happens Next
The matter is now officially before the High Court. Lolo Simeon has assured the public that she will provide updates as the case progresses through the appropriate judicial channels.
For now, the story of House of Stars has moved from television screens to the courtroom, where questions of truth, responsibility, and justice will be examined under the law.
As Lolo Simeon put it in her closing words, she is moving forward “with courage, transparency and grace.”
