Gambian Artist Ebrima Gains Recognition for Unique Artwork

Ebrima, a young Gambian and talented artist, is gaining recognition for his unique style of art – building an entire estate out of cartoons.

Using a combination of acrylic paint, markers, rubbers and pencils, Ebrima creates a colorful and detailed landscape of a fictional estate. The artwork is filled with characters, cars many of them inspired by his own life and the people he has met.
The artwork is comprises of 20 charlets, one security post, one stadium, a market place which he structured in the middle of the estate.
The artwork has sparked reactions from many people, some of whom have never seen anything like it before. Ebrima says that he hopes his art will inspire others to be creative and to use their imaginations.
“How much to sleep in one of these house” one of the facebook users commented on the post.

Ebrima’s art has been featured in several exhibitions and galleries, and he has been receiving more and more attention for his work. His art has even been featured in international publications, introducing his work to a whole new audience.

Ebrima’s art is a celebration of Gambian culture and a reminder that art can be used to express ideas and feelings. He hopes that his artwork will help to create more understanding and appreciation of Gambian culture and art.

As Ebrima continues to create more art, there is no doubt that his work will continue to spark reactions and inspire more people to be creative.

Festus currently serves as the Secretary General of the Africa Youth Leaders movement which is a network of youth between the ages of 20 – 30 years who have shown achievement, leadership potential and commitment to make a difference. Festus is also the Africa Focal Point of Youth for Change Initiative, which is a platform through which young people can access resources, be empowered and given the opportunity to grow to become useful members of society who will participate in the development of their communities and nation.
