Ebrima, a young Gambian and talented artist, is gaining recognition for his unique style of art – building an entire estate out of cartoons.
Using a combination of acrylic paint, markers, rubbers and pencils, Ebrima creates a colorful and detailed landscape of a fictional estate. The artwork is filled with characters, cars many of them inspired by his own life and the people he has met.
The artwork is comprises of 20 charlets, one security post, one stadium, a market place which he structured in the middle of the estate.
The artwork has sparked reactions from many people, some of whom have never seen anything like it before. Ebrima says that he hopes his art will inspire others to be creative and to use their imaginations.
