Freetown, Sierra Leone – A young Sierra Leonean law student, Francis Turay has received three prestigious awards for his outstanding academic performance and contributions to the legal community.
Francis Turay, a law student at University of Makeni, was recently awarded the Best Debater Award, the Most Innovative Student Award, and the Most Active Law Society WhatsApp Group Award.
The Best Debater Award was presented to Turay in recognition of his exceptional skills in public speaking and argumentation. He had participated in several debates and moot court competitions, winning several awards and accolades for his outstanding performance.
The Most Innovative Student Award was given to Turay for his creative and innovative ideas in solving legal problems.
The Most Active Law Society WhatsApp Group Award was presented to Turay in recognition of his active participation and contributions to the law society’s WhatsApp group. He had shared valuable information, insights, and updates on legal issues with other members of the group, helping to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the law.
Taking to his social media after receiving the awards in absentia, Turay expressed his gratitude to the organisers.
“In absentia, I won three awards in this year’s Law Society Awards and Dinner 2022/2023 Academic Year.
