In a daring intelligence-led operation, the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division successfully apprehended 38-year-old Omolabi Thomas, the notorious drug lord of the Fourah Bay Community in Freetown’s East end.
Thomas, attempting to evade arrest, was caught in a commercial mini-bus where authorities discovered a substantial quantity of illicit drugs suspected to be Cannabis Sativa (jamba) compressed in backpacks.
The Harbour Police Division, under the leadership of the seasoned LUC Kpulun, maintains its leading role in combating drug proliferation across the country.
“We continue to call on members of the public to provide useful information to the Police in our ongoing fight against drug importation, distribution, sales, and its abuse,” urged the servant-leader Police chief of the Harbour Division.
