The commissioning of the Maternal Health Center is a significant development aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of expectant mothers and improving maternal health outcomes in the community.
Playing a crucial role in promoting safe motherhood and reducing maternal mortality rates, this facility offers a range of services, including antenatal care, skilled birth attendance, emergency obstetric care, and postnatal support. By providing access to quality maternal healthcare services, such centers contribute to the well-being of mothers and their newborns, ultimately leading to healthier communities.
During the commissioning event at Malleh Village, Her Excellency delivered a compassionate and impactful speech, emphasizing the importance of maternal health and the significance of the new health center in improving healthcare for women and children in the community.She highlighted the need for accessible and quality healthcare services for expectant mothers and stressed the role of the health center in reducing maternal mortality rates. Her speech resonated with the audience and underscored the government’s commitment to addressing maternal health challenges.
She further expressed gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the establishment of the maternal health center, especially Chief Brima Swaray and Hon.
