FINIC Ghana – has Completed Finishing Touches on the Installation of a Versatile Rice Dryer in Kumasi, Ghana.
Finishing touches on the installation of a versatile Dryer model number Vsat 233 by FINIC Ghana, has been completed and now awaits the readiness of the client for the conduct of the training of the operators.
The dryer is of 1 ton (20 bags each of 50kg) batch capacity and is powered by a Diesel engine of 18 Horse power. An electric motor of 12kw can also be used.
The fuel for the heat source is Diesel fuel but can also efficiently utilize engine waste oil (burn oil). Which ever fuel is used, the consumption rate is 6 liters per hour. FINIC strongly advices the use engine waster oil. It is not only many times cheaper than Diesel fuel but also helps in its disposal in an environmentally friendly way.
This drying technology developed by FINIC is equipped with a temperature control system that lowers temperature almost instantly from 150 to 40 degrees Celsius. With that, the equipment is made highly versatile for the dehydration of a broad range of agricultural produce.
We will share a working video during the training of operators when the client is fully ready. Meanwhile, see a video that shows the extent of the fire generated using Diesel fuel and also training of the operators on the negative effect of mistakenly running the engine in the reverse direction. In the video, take note that the smoke from the engine comes from the air cleaner instead of the exhaust pipe.
