Alimamy Sesay, a 50-year-old assistant captain at the PM Ferry, has been remanded in custody after his first court appearance on Thursday, April 4th, 2024.
Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No. 2 charged Sesay with murder in connection with the death of Osman Sesay.
The alleged murder took place on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, at the Shipyard in Kaninkay, Freetown. Details surrounding the incident haven’t been made public.During the hearing, Sesay did not enter a plea and appeared without legal representation. Though the police prosecutor had witnesses available, they requested an adjournment due to unforeseen circumstances.
Magistrate Bangura agreed to the adjournment and remanded Sesay in prison custody.
