Alie Conteh of FC Kallon has made waves in the Sierra Leone Premier League with his impressive goal-scoring record. The striker recently scored his 20th goal of the season during a match against FC Johansen, helping his team secure a 2-0 victory. This achievement has broken the previous record set by Musa ‘Tombo’ Kamara in 2019, who scored 19 goals for East End Lions.
Conteh, who is also known as the ‘N’zonzi of Sierra Leone’, scored two goals in the first half of the match, with his first being a cheeky Panenka penalty in the 27th minute. He followed this up with a right-footed shot into the bottom corner after receiving a low cross from Daniel Karim in the 32nd minute.
Conteh’s impressive performances have earned him the man of the match award and have sparked hopes that he will be selected for the National Team’s upcoming AfCONQ match against Nigeria in June.
