A Sierra Leonean logistic company is one of the recipients of a grant from the United Nations Development Programme. The accumulated sum is said to be more than 741 Million Leones as per today’s exchange rate.
Celebrating the success, the CEO and Founder of SEND ME Emmanuel Lahai took to his LinkedIn to celebrate his company’s life-changing feat.
The grant ended up with an intense pitching with a panel of judges to choose the best business idea. It is estimated that over 100s of businesses attended the training and pitching process which took place in Freetown.

In his words, he said:
“Hi linkedin family, i am happy to announced that we’ve raised $40,000(in grant). For two weeks, we participated in an intensive training which was followed by a pitch competition. Of the hundreds of MSMEs that applied, Send Me was among the winners of the grant.
The grant will be used to develop our ride hailing delivery service and prepare us for venture capitalist investment.
