Famous Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya has donated sewing machines to a fashion school for young girls and women in the Volta Region of Ghana. Born Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, Wode Maya is a Ghanaian YouTube personality, vlogger, digital media influencer and aeronautical engineer. In 2021, he was named one of the Top and Most Influential YouTubers in Africa.
In a post on photo sharing app Instagram, he posted a photo with some students of the training center, a woman who can be assumed to be a teacher or facilitator and the sewing machines being donated.

Wode Maya attended the Beijing Language and Culture University and quit his job as Aeronautical engineer to focus on YouTube. In December 2021, he started his own real estate company and has donated about $10,000 for a dumpsite to be transformed into a park in Kwahu. He has also helped to raise about $10,000 to cater for the educational needs of 100 children.
This latest donation is a part of the YouTube star’s efforts to contribute back to the society.
