Popular Sierra Leonean influencer Hawanatu Konneh has questioned the title of Keltony’s upcoming song, “4K OFF YA,” ahead of its official release.

Her comment roughly translates to: “Why don’t Sierra Leonean musicians give their songs nice titles? Look at Keltony, who has just arrived.”

The comment appears to criticise Keltony’s choice of title and has added to the growing conversation surrounding the unreleased track.

“4K OFF YA” is a Krio expression featured prominently in the song’s chorus. Keltony repeatedly uses the phrase throughout the track, giving the song a catchy and distinctly Sierra Leonean identity.

Although Hawanatu questioned the title, her reaction could generate further public interest in the song ahead of its release. Unusual or controversial song titles often spark online conversations and encourage listeners to discover the meaning behind them.

Keltony, who is gradually establishing himself in Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry, is presenting “4K OFF YA” as a street anthem. The song, produced by Cribs International, is expected to appeal to young listeners through its energetic sound, relatable Krio lyrics and memorable chorus.

As anticipation continues to build, music fans are waiting to hear the full song and decide whether its unusual title strengthens its appeal or distracts from the music.
