The European Union 2025 Bus Tour made a colourful stop in Kambia with a cultural evening full of music, dance and community spirit.
The event was held at the Kambia Lorry Park, an international commercial space built with EU support. It was organised in partnership with the Kambia District Council. The evening brought people together to celebrate Sierra Leone’s culture and traditions, and to show the growing friendship between Europe and Sierra Leone.
Local performers entertained the crowd with music and dance. Traders in the market also joined the fun. People said the evening was lively and welcoming, showing the strong link between the EU and the people of Kambia.
The cultural night was part of the EU Bus Tour 2025. The tour is moving across Sierra Leone to show EU projects that are helping communities. Earlier stops included visits to farming groups and support centres that are giving farmers training, agroforestry and savings groups under the EU Jobs and Growth programme.
EU officials said the tour is a way to show how European support is helping Sierra Leone reach its goals. This includes job creation, women empowerment and food security through the Feed Salone plan.
The EU said it will continue to build on its partnership with Sierra Leone, mixing development projects with cultural exchange.
