Sierra Leonean scholar and health expert Dr Alpha Grace has announced that he will take part in the Integrative Healthcare Symposium (IHS) in New York in 2027.

Dr Grace will join leading clinicians, researchers and innovators from around the world at the event, which focuses on the future of whole-person medicine. He is expected to present on the topic: “African Naturopathic Medicine Meets Modern Science: A Multidimensional Framework for Whole-Person Healing.”

In a statement, Dr Grace said his work over the past 25 years has focused on connecting traditional African healing methods with modern medical research. He said his approach is rooted in cultural knowledge, science and community-based healing.

Dr Grace has worked across different countries and cultures. His background includes studies in social criminology and African naturopathic medicine. He also holds certifications in areas such as mind-body medicine, energy medicine, nutrition and biophysical medicine.

He is the founder of the African College of Naturopath and co-founder of the African Natural Health Innovation Center. He also leads Grace International Multidisciplinary Consultancy. Over the years, he has written several books and delivered more than 2,000 lectures in 78 countries.

Dr Grace said he looks forward to contributing to discussions on integrative healthcare, African medical traditions, and new approaches to men’s and women’s health. He also plans to highlight the role of food, energy and environment in healing.

Beyond his health work, Dr Grace is also an independent presidential candidate in Sierra Leone. He says his mission is to promote unity, development and people-centered leadership in the country.

The 2027 symposium is expected to bring together global experts to share ideas and shape the future of healthcare.
