Celebrating 7 Years of Service and Achievement at the Sierra Leone Police
Today marks a special day as I reflect on the incredible journey of the past seven years as a proud member of the Sierra Leone Police force. It has been a privilege to transition from the Law Officers Department as a Senior State Counsel to the dynamic and impactful world of law enforcement.
In this time, I’ve had the honor of serving in various strategic leadership roles, including Legal Adviser at the Criminal Investigations Department, Legal and Technical Expert at the Transnational Organized Crime Unit, Legal Adviser of the West African Police Information System, and finally, as the Head of the Legal and Justice Support Department of the Sierra Leone Police. The journey from Assistant Superintendent of Police to Chief Superintendent of Police has been a testament to the dedication and hard work of our incredible team.
I have been tasked with directing the conduct of investigations and successfully prosecuted major cases at both Magistrate and High Court levels. My colleagues and squad mates have been tasked various assigned duties and leadership roles which they have dispensed with joy amidst challenges. It’s heartening to witness the positive impact we had on ensuring justice prevails in our beloved nation.
I’m grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the force’s success, and I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all my squad mates who have been instrumental in every step of this journey. Your commitment to duty and the pursuit of justice and security have not gone unnoticed.
Beyond our daily responsibilities, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my insights through various articles and have been humbled to receive several awards for my service to the police institution and our nation as both a police officer and a lawyer.
As we celebrate this anniversary, let’s reflect on the accomplishments, challenges, and the camaraderie that binds us together. Here’s to many more years of service, growth, and making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. Your support and collaboration have made these seven years truly memorable.
Here’s to the Sierra Leone Police and the pursuit of justice!
