The immediate past Captain of the National Under-19 Men’s Team and current skipper of Mid-West Cricket Club, Edward George Ngegba, has risen to the pedestal of glories by topping Sierra Leone’s run scorers’ list at ICC level with 639 pitch hunts in four years of international cricket.

In his last three ICC U-19 tournaments, the 20-year-old,EDWARD GEORGE NGEGBA scored well over 400 runs, took 32 wickets and plenty of catches.

“I was the top scorer for Sierra Leone in each of those tournaments and was also amongst the tournament’s top 5 runs scorer. My spin bowling at the U19 team was always exceptional as it most times helped the team secure wins by taking crucial wickets and causing many dot balls whenever the need arises,” says George.

Over and above this scale-tipping feat, George has been the top runs scorer for the U-19 Men’s side in all combined friendlies played against club teams in South Africa.
