Rashid Sesay, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to UAE, India, and Bangladesh, recently inaugurated the India-Africa Trade Office in Kochi, southern India. This initiative is set to enhance tourism, trade, and investment opportunities between the two nations.
Sesay lauded the establishment of the Office, highlighting its potential to play a crucial role in boosting investment prospects. “This brilliant initiative will serve as a pivotal platform to enhance the economic collaboration between India and Sierra Leone,” he remarked.
During his visit, the commissioner also toured the Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi, a renowned private medical facility with over 700 beds and a reputation for excellence in healthcare. The hospital boasts state-of-the-art technology and internationally acclaimed medical practitioners, maintaining high standards of care for over four decades.
Commissioner Sesay also met with the hospital management, urging them to consider investing in Sierra Leone’s medical sector. He invited the management to visit Sierra Leone and explore opportunities to develop similar facilities, aligning with the government’s agenda of providing quality healthcare services for every Sierra Leonean.
This visit underscores the broader vision of strengthening bilateral relations and fostering mutual growth through strategic investments and collaborations.
