Nigerian biologist Joshua Alade has shared his triumphant experience on LinkedIn of being one of the recipients of the prestigious Chevening Awards. Hailing from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Department of Cell Biology and Genetics, Joshua’s story is one of hope and inspiration.

Faced with a difficult upbringing and uncertain future, Joshua never lost faith in his abilities and was eventually rewarded with a scholarship to study in the U.K.

Joshua hopes his story will encourage other aspiring scholars to never give up on their dreams, no matter how hard life can be. He has been able to demonstrate that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible.
