Bank of Sierra Leone to provide extra day of banking services amidst holiday rush

The Bank of Sierra Leone has announced that it will be providing an extra day of banking services to the public on Saturday 30th December 2023 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm to cater to the holiday rush. This announcement was made in a public notice pursuant to section 53(1) of the Banking Act of 2019 and section 53 of the other Financial Services Act 2001¹. The notice also directed commercial banks and other financial institutions to ensure they provide adequate security measures for the smooth operation of their services to the public
