Mauritania withdraw themselves from the ongoing WAFU U15 tournament held in Liberia.

Mauritania U15 team has withdrawn their participation from the ongoing WAFU Zona A U15 Tournament.

The withdrawal came about when they lost a whopping margin of six goals to nil in their first match.

In a press release, the Mauritania Football Federation alleged that there are proven evidence of data that some players from the Sierra Leone U15 team cheated their age.

In regards of the above submission, the federation decided to void their participation in the tournament in fear of the safety and health of their players.

It’s unclear whether WAFU will set up a an investigation team and there has been any word from them yet. Sierra Leone will be facing Senegal tomorrow after Senegal had a three all draw with the host Liberia.
