Air Sierra Leone has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) to support vulnerable children and promote humanitarian work across the country.
The agreement was signed as part of efforts by both organisations to work together on community development, social responsibility, and programmes that will improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Sierra Leone.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, National Coordinator of TOES-SL, Alie Conteh, said the organisation is happy about the new partnership and believes it will help them reach more children in need.
“We are excited about this partnership with Air Sierra Leone. Collaborations like this strengthen our ability to continue advocating for and supporting vulnerable children across Sierra Leone,” he said.
Representing Air Sierra Leone, Finance Executive Abu Richard Larkoh, who stood in for the airline’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Sukhjinder Mann, said the airline believes companies must support the communities where they operate.
“At Air Sierra Leone, we believe businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the communities they serve. Partnering with TOES-SL aligns with our commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives and contributing to national development,” he said.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Mohamed G. Conteh, Programme and IT Officer, and Aruna S. Kamara, Communications Officer of TOES-SL, as well as Rashidatu Umarr, Communications Executive at Air Sierra Leone.
Officials from both sides said the partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will focus on creating opportunities for vulnerable children and improving the well-being of communities across Sierra Leone.
