The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) have launched a three-day workshop to identify corruption risks in the Ministry of Sports.
The training, held in Freetown, focuses on weak points in human resources, finance and procurement.
ACC Deputy Commissioner Augustine Foday Ngobie said participants will work through presentations and group exercises to identify and classify risks, their likelihood and their impact.
The UNODC representative, Kodjo Attisso, said the process follows global standards that involve five steps: context, risk identification, analysis, evaluation and treatment.
The workshop supports ongoing reforms aimed at improving accountability and strengthening the ministry’s ability to promote sports and national unity.
