Rainbo Initiative has begun a five-day leadership and management training in Freetown to strengthen staff capacity, improve organisational systems and enhance programme delivery across Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
The training brings together members of the organisation’s senior management team, middle-level managers and coordinators working in the three countries.
Participants are receiving training in project planning and management, effective leadership and supervision, ownership and accountability, critical thinking, team management and decision-making. The sessions also focus on strengthening the internal systems that support the organisation’s work.
The training is being facilitated by Nthati Rose Lesaona, a senior consultant based in Kigali, Rwanda. She has more than 13 years of experience supporting governments, United Nations agencies, development partners, non-governmental organisations and private sector organisations across Africa.
Her expertise includes research, monitoring, evaluation and learning, programme design, organisational development and institutional strengthening.
Rainbo Initiative said investing in its staff and internal systems is essential to delivering quality, survivor-centred services. The training aims to equip managers with practical knowledge and tools to lead their teams, improve programme quality and strengthen accountability across its operations.
Through the initiative, the organisation hopes to provide more effective services for survivors and communities, while ensuring its programmes respond to the needs of people from different backgrounds.
