Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Hon. Chernor A. Bah, has arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye, ahead of the STRATCOM 2026 Summit scheduled for 27–28 March.

The STRATCOM Summit is organised by Türkiye’s Presidential Directorate of Communications and is known as one of the leading international forums on strategic communication. This year’s event is expected to attract thousands of participants and speakers from more than 50 countries.

Key discussions at the summit will focus on crisis communication, disinformation, public diplomacy, emerging technologies, media planning, and new media skills. The gathering aims to promote global dialogue, share ideas, and strengthen collaboration among countries.

Hon. Bah is accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Andrew S. Kamara.

Sierra Leone’s participation highlights the country’s interest in improving communication systems and engaging with global partners on modern media and information strategies.
