Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, has said he is supporting ongoing efforts to secure the release of Zainab Sheriff.
In a statement shared publicly, Kamara, popularly known as JFK, said he recently met with his associate Herbert Williams to discuss ways of strengthening advocacy for Sheriff’s release.
He said the issue remains deeply important to them and that they are committed to contributing both their voices and resources to the cause.
“Today, I joined forces with my friend and comrade Herbert Williams,” he said. “We came together to reaffirm support for the release of Zainab Sheriff.”
Kamara added that discussions focused on how best to support ongoing efforts already in motion, as well as exploring additional ways to push for a positive outcome.
The call for Sheriff’s release has attracted attention from sections of the public, with supporters urging authorities to consider her case.
Observers say the involvement of prominent figures such as Kamara could increase momentum around the campaign, as advocacy continues for her freedom.
