A guest speaker, Massalay, has called on students to live with discipline, integrity, and resilience during the anniversary celebration of Sierra Leone Grammar School (SLGS).
Speaking at the 181st anniversary of the school, Massalay told students that success in life depends on strong character, hard work, and the ability to remain focused even during difficult times. He said discipline and integrity are important values that every young person must develop if they want to become responsible citizens.
According to him, resilience is also necessary because life will always come with challenges, and only those who stay strong and determined will succeed. He encouraged the students to respect their teachers, stay committed to their education, and avoid bad habits that can destroy their future.
Massalay said schools like Sierra Leone Grammar School have produced many great leaders, and the current students must continue that tradition by working hard and protecting the good name of the institution.
He further advised the students to believe in themselves and use education as a tool to improve their lives and contribute to national development.
The anniversary celebration brought together pupils, teachers, old students, and invited guests, who all praised the long history of the school and its role in shaping many important personalities in Sierra Leone.
