South African singer Tyla has won the Best African Music Performance award at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. The award was announced on 1 February 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in the United States.
Tyla, 24, won the prize for her song “Push 2 Start”, making it her second win in this category. She first won the same award in 2024, becoming the first artist to win this Grammy twice since the category began.
The Best African Music Performance category was created to celebrate outstanding African music performances from around the continent. This year’s nominees included popular artists like Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr and others.
