The office of the President has issued an urgent warning after a video claiming to feature Julius Maada Bio surfaced on social media endorsing an investment scheme — AfriQuantumX.

In a statement, State House Sierra Leone clarified that the video is a fraudulent production created with artificial intelligence.

According to the President’s Press Secretary, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi Esq., the president has never endorsed, launched, or spoken in favor of AfriQuantumX.

The counterfeit video claims AfriQuantumX was established as a “national investment initiative,” urging citizens to invest Le 5,800 for “real income,” and falsely asserting that the platform is government-regulated.

The State House condemned the campaign as a “deliberate misrepresentation” and urged the public to shun the platform. It also called on AfriQuantumX, “News 24/7,” and any involved parties to immediately stop using President Bio’s name and likeness. Citizens were advised to confirm all investment offers through official government channels before committing any funds.
