Sierra Leonean Designer Ishmael Brima Koroma Wins Universe Fashion Industry Leadership Award 2025
Sierra Leonean fashion entrepreneur Ishmael Brima Koroma, CEO and Founder of NEEKS Fashion, has been honoured with the Universe Fashion Industry Leadership Award 2025 in Malaysia. The award recognises his growing influence in the global fashion space and marks another major milestone for Sierra Leone’s presence on the international fashion scene.
Mr. Koroma, who has lived and worked in Malaysia for several years, has built a strong reputation as one of the leading Sierra Leonean designers working abroad. His designs have been showcased across Asia, Africa, and other international platforms, helping to introduce Sierra Leonean creativity to new audiences. He continues to use fashion as a tool to promote culture, create opportunities, and support young talent.
The designer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management, academic achievements that have strengthened his leadership in business and creative entrepreneurship.
