Sallu Kamuskay, Co-Founder and CEO of Salone Messenger, made a historic visit to the world-renowned Taj Mahal in Agra, India, as part of the ongoing Content Creators’ Familiarisation Tour organized by the Government of India. The tour brings together digital storytellers from across West and Central Africa, offering them a unique opportunity to explore India’s rich heritage and promote cultural exchange.
The familiarisation tour is funded by the Government of India through the Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone and the Ministry of External Affairs. It aims to strengthen diplomatic ties and foster people-to-people relationships between India and African nations through media and digital storytelling.
During his visit to the Taj Mahal—widely celebrated as one of the Seven Wonders of the World—Kamuskay expressed deep admiration for the architectural marvel. The Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, stands as a symbol of eternal love and is one of the most visited and photographed monuments globally.
“This moment is surreal. To walk through the gates of the Taj Mahal and see this masterpiece up close is truly humbling. It’s not just a monument—it’s a story carved in marble that continues to inspire the world,” said Kamuskay.
The Salone Messenger CEO was joined by fellow content creators from countries including Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon, Liberia, and others, as they toured the historical site, captured content, and engaged in cross-cultural dialogue.
Kamuskay’s visit forms part of a broader itinerary that includes stops at other iconic Indian landmarks such as the India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace), and leading social impact institutions like The Akshaya Patra Foundation.
Through this tour, Kamuskay and his peers are not only documenting their experiences but also showcasing India’s diverse culture, historical depth, and modern development to their audiences back home.
The initiative reinforces India’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and highlights the increasing role of digital creators in shaping international narratives.
