The Bello Foundation Sierra Leone, led by Founder Hon. Mohamed Bello Yillah, has generously donated bags, books, and various school materials to 1,000 pupils across five communities in the Western Area Rural District. This act of kindness is part of Hon. Yillah’s commitment to support less-privileged families in accessing quality education, which he views as critical for national development.

In light of the current economic challenges, Hon. Yillah acknowledged the financial difficulties many parents face in providing for their children’s education. He emphasized that this back-to-school donation is only one of several initiatives planned by the Foundation, aimed at uplifting the lives of the underprivileged and contributing to humanity.

Parents and children alike expressed immense gratitude for the timely donation. Mr. Ibrahim Conteh, a parent, thanked Hon. Yillah, noting that many families have struggled to purchase school materials since the reopening of schools. “This donation is a great relief,” said Conteh. “We are thankful and will ensure our children make good use of these gifts.”

Edward, a class six pupil, expressed his excitement and gratitude, sharing that he had been attending school without proper supplies. “Receiving these materials has made me eager to attend school every day. I thank Mr. Bello and pray for continued blessings on him and his foundation,” he said.

The donations have been met with appreciation and prayers from hundreds of pupils and their parents, who are hopeful for more opportunities in the future.

In his concluding remarks, Hon. Mohamed Bello Yillah urged parents to take care of their children, monitor their activities, and ensure they stay away from drugs and substance abuse. He encouraged the children to remain respectful, obedient, and to take their studies seriously so they can grow into responsible citizens.
